EIH Hospitality Firms Post 564 Million Birr Profit

Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) reported that its hospitality subsidiaries recorded a combined profit before tax of 564.2 million birr in the last fiscal year, 37 percent above target.

Hilton Hotel was the most profitable, followed by Ghion Hotels Enterprise and Guenet Hotel. Spa Service Enterprise also contributed to the sector’s overall performance.

The sovereignty wealth announced this during its annual performance dialogue which focused on the performance of the hospitality sector, including Spa Service Enterprise, Ghion Hotels Enterprise, DHC (Hilton Hotel), and Guenet Hotel.

The four companies together generated 2.1 billion birr in revenue, achieving 114 percent of their target. EIH called on its subsidiaries to strengthen their competitiveness by improving customer satisfaction, revising their marketing strategies, and upgrading their digital platforms and booking systems.
